Diego Sandoval was born in Mexico City. He discovered his passion for acting at an early age, beginning a career that now spans eight years of intensive training and five years of professional experience across film, theater, and television. He trained at Construyendo Actores and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), further honing his craft under industry mentors and directors such as David Strasberg, Ana Wagner, and Amat Escalante, while establishing himself on local stages.
In television and streaming platforms, he has collaborated on international productions such as The Mosquito Coast for Apple TV+ and The Secret Score on Disney+. He will soon appear as Nico in the upcoming Netflix series, El Círculo. In film, he starred in the short film Intervalo, directed by Roberto Fiesco, and the Netflix feature The (Almost) Legends. His extensive theater background has been foundational to his artistic development, leading him to co-write the stage play IdenTIDad.
Diego’s career has naturally expanded into project creation; alongside screenwriting, he is currently preparing his directorial debut with an upcoming short film. This creative facet complements a versatile acting profile that allows him to work fluidly across English and Spanish projects, backed by practical training in improvisation and stunts.
“Acting has taught me that we human beings are far more alike than we think. If there is truth behind it, our characters can connect with anyone. That is poetry”.
