André Núñez, an actor from Cuautitlán Izcalli, Estado de México, discovered his passion for the arts at a young age thanks to the encouragement of his mother, who enrolled him in artistic activities such as painting, piano, and drums. However, it was acting that truly captivated him at 13. Passionate about portraying characters who give voice to unheard stories, André says, "I dream of creating stories that challenge perspectives and leave a lasting impact beyond the screen."
He gained recognition for his performance in the short film Nacimos Llorando (2023), directed by Fernando Cattori. The film won Best Long Short Film in the LGBTQ+ category at the LA Film Festival, was nominated for the 1.4 Awards in the On the Cusp – Short Film Fiction category, and most recently received a nomination for Best Long Form Music Video at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards. He recently completed filming La Vida de Ahora, a feature film that marks his debut in this format, directed by Alejandro Zuno, one of the most prominent emerging voices in Mexican auteur cinema. The project is currently in post-production.
André continues to strengthen his craft through film workshops and cinematic laboratories, maintaining ongoing acting training primarily with acting coach María Fernanda Bosque. In parallel, he is pursuing a degree in Creative Writing and Literature at the University of the Cloister. Empathetic, cheerful, and endlessly curious, he finds inspiration in music, meaningful learning experiences, and deep conversations. He believes that embracing life fully and observing the world around him are the greatest sources of artistic inspiration.
